Text: Psalms 103:8

The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.


I woke up this morning with a word ringing in my heart: "The Lord is merciful and gracious to those who love Him". 


I then searched through scriptures and found the anchor text above which further reveals the extent of God's mercy and grace towards mankind. 


It reminds me of the lyrics of the song "You amaze me" by Vicki Yohe:

Your presence amazes me, Your glory surrounds me

When I walked in this room I felt Your arms hands upon me

To think how great You are, still You would touch someone like me

It's Your mercy and grace, You amaze me.


The mercy and grace of God towards us is something we can never fully understand, but we can be thankful every day that our God is merciful and gracious towards us. 


Just say a word of thanks to Him this morning for His unending mercy and Grace upon your life.

Theme: My God: My Shepherd Anchor Text: Psalms 23:1 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. The 23rd Psalm is one of the most well known passages of the Bible. Topic: Love Not The World Text: 1 John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him . John the Apostle had a personal relationship with Jesus during His time here on Earth. The relationship was so deep that he was referred to as "the beloved" of Jesus. Therefore, he understood what it means to love Jesus and be loved by Jesus. In his epistle, he decides to speak a great deal about love. Love is one of the major themes of this apostle. So much so it earned him the nickname 'The Apostle of love" John submission is that anyone who loves the world does not have the love of the Father. Which is why he encouraged the believers no to love the world, nor the things in it. Sadly, many believers have not only fallen in love with the world, but have laid in bed with the world. Theme: Isaiah 43:18-21 interpreted in relation to  Salvation. (Pt 11) Sub Theme: All will Honour God Anchor Text: Isaiah 43:20 The beast of the field shall honour me, the dragons and the owls: because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen. Based on our anchor text, we discover that the reason the beast of the field, dragons and the owls would honour God was because He gave waters in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. Like we have established already that the Holy Spirit is the One who causes waters in the wilderness (salvation) and rivers to flow in the desert (Holy Spirit baptism). These creatures mentioned weren't physical rather they were spiritual entities. They were the demonic forces that try to oppose God's rule on Earth.
