* Theme: * * Right Approach to God's Word (part 3) * * Anchor Text: * Jeremiah 15:16 [16]Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts. _ Continued from yesterday _ 3. * You must enter the deeper level of meditation * This point isn't found in Jeremiah's discourse because he wasn't familiar with it. It's a new testament thing. Now understand that the hagah you do in a known tongue is powerful but not absolute. The deeper level of meditation is * hagah in tongues * How is this done? You start off from simple meditation. Hagah in your known tongue and as you continue you'll get to a point where it looks like you hit a climax. Once that happens, you need to switch to hagah in tongues. In most cases, you'll find yourself repeating a phrase in an unknown tongue. When you continue that for a while, you'll get to the level

*Theme:* *Right Approach to God's Word (part 2)* *Anchor Text:* Jeremiah 15:16 [16]Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts. _Continued from yesterday's post...._ 2. *The Word must be eaten* Jeremiah said after finding God's Word the next thing he did was to eat them. Eating God's Word means internalizing what you just found. How is this done? Eating God's Word is done through Meditation. For a while now the church thought meditation was only a thing of the heart and mind. However, mediation actually begins from your mouth before getting to your belly (heart). *The amount of Words you eat, determines the amount of rivers that flow out of your belly (heart)* The word *'hagah'* is the Hebrew word for meditate and it means _'to moan, growl, utter, muse, mutter, speak'_ Basically meditation has a lot to do with your mouth than wi

*Theme:* *Right Approach to God's Word* *Anchor Text:* Jeremiah 15:16 [16]Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts. The word of God doesn't work for many because they come with a wrong approach. Once a matter is apporached wrongly, the result will be negative.  Jeremiah in one of his numerous dialogue with the Almighty, revealed to us how to approach God's Word, which we'll briefly look into. (Note: This isn't an exhaustive discourse.) 1. *The Word must be sought for* Jeremiah said that God's words were found. That means it's not common. *The fact that you have a Bible in your hand, in your phone and your laptop etc doesn't mean you've found God's word.* As far as the Bible is not searched intently and deeply, God's Word will remain elusive. *It is the searching of the LOGOS that reveals the RHEMA* *Logos is common, Rh

*Theme:* *Your testimony is worship* *Anchor Text:* Psalms 71:15-18 [15]My mouth shall shew forth thy righteousness and thy salvation all the day; for I know not the numbers thereof. [16]I will go in the strength of the Lord GOD: I will make mention of thy righteousness, even of thine only. [17]O God, thou hast taught me from my youth: and hitherto have I declared thy wondrous works. [18]Now also when I am old and grayheaded, O God, forsake me not; until I have shewed thy strength unto this generation, and thy power to every one that is to come. Early this morning, Phil Thompson's 'My worship' began to play in my spirit, so I had to play it on repeat for about an hour or more. As I listened and meditated on the song, the Holy Spirit began to impress certain things upon my heart. We focus on a limited aspect of worship which a good number of us practice; which is singing. We feel that's worship. That's why some people in church service will say 'let

*Theme:* "We are instructed to hate?* *Text:* Luke 14:26 _[26]If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple._ The Lord Jesus while on earth made quite a number of hard statements. But one of them that really would shock most people today will be that in the text above. As the Master was always full of love and preached love, this statement would seem like it wasn't said by Him. Yet Jesus knew the implication of what He said. He knew that when it comes to being a disciple, if the love you have for a person is overwhelming, it can hinder your discipleship. We know of spouses who stopped following the Lord because of the love they had for their partners who wanted otherwise. When the Master made the statement, He meant NO ONE should have that authority to influence your decision as regards being His disciple. He meant that NO ONE should have your absol

*Theme:* The Law is a pattern (part 2) As I said yesterday, the law was a pattern for something better. For every stage of man's level of the revelation of God, there's always that system laid by God that echoes GOD's eternal purpose for His people through time. What then is this purpose that the law served? Let's check out what God said in Leviticus which we read yesterday: Leviticus 11:45&47 [45]For I am the LORD that bringeth you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: *ye shall therefore be holy, for I am holy.* [47]*To make a difference between the unclean and the clean,...* God's eternal purpose for His own is that they be Holy. The Hebrew word for holy is “qodesh” and means “apartness, set-apartness, separateness, sacredness” In the New Testament, the word for holy is “hagios” and means set apart, reverend, sacred, and worthy of veneration." So we see that God's eternal purpose was for His people to be separate and set apart

*Theme:* *Anointed to Act* *Anchor Text:" Luke 4:18-19 _[18]The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,_ _[19]To preach the acceptable year of the Lord._ Jesus gave us an understanding as to how the anointing functions. First of all, the anointing is a product of the Holy Spirit coming upon a person. That is why *the effectiveness of a man's anointing is dependent on the relationship he has with the Holy Spirit.* David understood the implication of losing the Holy Spirit so he begged that the Holy Spirit shouldn't be taken away from him. He had first hand encounter of what happens to one who is anointed but loses the Holy Spirit; in the life of Saul. Second thing we glean from our anchor text is that when the anointing comes, it causes us to act. Jes

*Theme:* *Wandering sheep* *Anchor Text:* 1 Peter 2:25 (New Living Translation) 2:25 Once you were like sheep     who wandered away. But now you have turned to your Shepherd,     the Guardian of your souls I have come to discover that it is quite easy for most Christians to draw on the 'goat analogy' as a description for those not in Christ. However, a careful study of the Bible will reveal to us that this is actually the opposite. The scripture never refers to the lost as being goats. That reference is found only once in Matthew 25:32&33, and this was speaking of when the Lord will judge the Nations after the dispensation of Grace is over. All through scripture, the lost are also referred to as sheep. *In the mind of the Father, we are all sheep;  it's our location from Him that varies.* Some are the sheep of His pasture. While other sheep have simply gone astray. This understanding reveals to us that no one is far from the saving Grace of salvation. This

*Theme:* *Stop fooling yourself"* *Anchor Text:* James 1:26&27 (New Living Translation) 26 If you claim to be religious but don’t control your tongue, you are fooling yourself, and your religion is worthless. During the Greek era, the word 'barbarian' was used as a term to refer to those who did not speak Greek and didn't act in conformity to the Greecian lifestyle. To the Greek, a distinguishing factor was the language one spoke and the lifestyle they practised. A distinguishing factor that attests to the royalty and separate class of a child of God is the ability to control the tongue. Your ancestry in Christ Jesus is traced back to God the Father and He has full control of 'His tongue' and uses it to control the world. Inability to control the tongue is regarded as fooling yourself according to our anchor text. Your words are supposed to be pure and wholesome. Jesus said: 'Anytime I speak, spirit and life is sent out' (paraphrased)

*Theme:* *Selah* Good morning. Meditation is key to internalizing spiritual truths. So this morning I'll share a text from the Psalms with 3 different bible translations. Just meditate on these verses: I trust the Lord to open your eyes to understand them. Psalms 19:7-14 KING JAMES VERSION [7]The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. [8]The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. [9]The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether. [10]More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. [11]Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward. [12]Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults. [13]Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not ha

*Theme:* *Grace Produces Works* *Anchor Text:* 1 Corinthians 15:10 Amplified Bible _[10]But by the grace (the unmerited favor and blessing) of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not [found to be] for nothing (fruitless and without effect). In fact, I worked harder than all of them [the apostles], though it was not really I, but the grace (the unmerited favor and blessing) of God which was with me._ Grace had been defined by most people as unmerited or undeserved favour which is so true. Grace is not worked for, it is received. Grace is imparted not earned. Therefore due to this truth, a lot of people feel Grace and Works have nothing in common. So when Works are mentioned a good number of people feel 'o that's Old Testament'. This isn't true.  We must understand this before I go in-depth explaining it: *'Grace imparted will always produces works* Paul the apostle in the anchor text was a man that was an epitome of God's extravagant Grace.

*Theme:* *Worthless Vine* *Anchor Text:* Ezekiel 15:1-8 (New Living Translation) _15:1 Then this message came to me from the lord:_ _15:2 “Son of man, how does a grapevine compare to a tree? Is a vine’s wood as useful as the wood of a tree?_ _15:3 Can its wood be used for making things, like pegs to hang up pots and pans?_ _15:4 No, it can only be used for fuel, and even as fuel, it burns too quickly._ _15:5 Vines are useless both before and after being put into the fire!_ _15:6 “And this is what the Sovereign lord says: The people of Jerusalem are like grapevines growing among the trees of the forest. Since they are useless, I have thrown them on the fire to be burned._ _15:7 And I will see to it that if they escape from one fire, they will fall into another. When I turn against them, you will know that I am the lord._ _15:8 And I will make the land desolate because my people have been unfaithful to me. I, the Sovereign lord, have spoken!”_ The grapevine tree is one of th

*Theme:* *We shall be like Him* *Anchor Text:* 1 John 3:2&3 (New Living Translation) 3:2 _Dear friends, we are already God’s children, but he has not yet shown us what we will be like when Christ appears. But we do know that we will be like him, for we will see him as he really is._ 3:3 _And all who have this eager expectation will keep themselves pure, just as he is pure._ For those of us that are familiar with New creation realities teachings, you'll discover that a child of God has a lot of rights and privileges he or she can exercise. Some of those include: •Our co-heirship with Jesus Christ. •Our access to the Father at any time. •Deadness to sin •Advocate with the Father who is Jesus •Our access to the unlimited Divine wisdom •Our Oness with the God •Our likeness to God. All these are scripturally based and backed. However, sometimes we run into a certain error of belief This error is believing that we are already like Christ Jesus in all totality and a
