Good morning. I found it imperative to say something based on the issue of forgiveness which I shared yesterday. I had it in mind to do so this morning. However I found something on Instagram which correlates with what I would have said and I feel it's best if I shared that instead.  So I'll just share screenshots of what Pastor Poju Oyemade shared on Instagram. (You can follow him on IG @pastopoju) Check them out below: Stay Graced... P.S: Next week Monday I'll share with us something that a lot of us face that we don't really consider to be important: Moreso, it is very common among young adults. If you've ever felt old despite  having a younger chronological age; you'll want to watch out for this. Feel free to also share with friends as well. P.S 2: One more thing; remember that God loves you beyond your wildest imagination. He's rooting for you daily to overcome and you truly will overcome. #SpiritBreakfast™️ #FruitfulFriday

Theme: Love's Template (part 4) Anchor Text: 1 John 4:11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. Sub Theme: God Forgave Reference Text: Ephesians 4:32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you. Forgiveness is a fundamental aspect of love. There are no offences where love exist. 1 Peter 4:8 says: Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins. A man who has the love of Christ inside of him as all believers should because the love of God has been shed abroad in our hearts (Romans 5:5) will always forgive. Therefore if the same love is in our heart, we should also exhibit and practice love the way God did. Our response to any kind of offence should be forgiveness irrespective of what it is. Yes we know it's difficult but it's something we don't do by ourselves but through the Grace of our Lord Jesus.

Theme: Love's Template (part 3) Anchor Text: 1 John 4:11B Beloved if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. Sub Theme: God was Selfless Anchor Text: John 15:13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Jesus who was God made flesh told his disciples that the greatest show of love was to lay down one's life. This is an act of selflessness. Selfless is defined as having, exhibiting or motivated by no concern for oneself but for others. If you claim to love a person you must be willing to be selfless towards that person. You must practice continuously the act of giving up and giving away. Giving up your own comfort in order to bring about the other person's comfort. Giving away whatever you can as possessions in order to cater for that person. Loving selflessly will make you deny yourself certain things to meet up the needs of the other person. If a lot of folks understand this we won't claim to love some

Theme: Love's Template (part 2) Anchor Text: 1 John 4:11 [11]Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. Sub Theme: God Gave Reference Text: John 3:16 [16]For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. The reference text is one that a lot of people are familiar with. I used to think it's one everyone knows until recently when I saw a video of a young man trying to quote it to back an erroneous opinion. The first way God showed love was that He gave. A good number of folks know that giving is part of loving so this shouldn't be a big deal right? Yet the truth is the motive behind giving is what we need to look closely into. Why did God give in the first place? Was it so that he could receive anything back in return? Was it beneficial to Himself or to we who received the Gift of Love? Most times when we give in love or out of love, inside of us

Theme: Love's Template Anchor Text: 1 John 4:11 [11]Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. A template is defined as the following: 1. A physical object whose shape is used as a guide to make other objects. 2. A generic model or pattern from which other objects are based or derived. A template is basically the original shape whereby subsequent objects are made from. In most cases, there is always a template upon which every other copy from. The same can be said concerning 'love'. Whatever does not resemble the original template is another object. Because every other new object is made in the shape of the original. For example we all recognize a rectangle, square or a triangle because whenever we draw or make these shapes they retain the original template. A triangle will always have three lines and three angles. Once an extra angle is added it is no longer a triangle. God is Love and He showed us a template for love. Therefore when we

Theme: Pray for Others Anchor Text: Philemon 1:4 [4]I thank my God, making mention of thee always in my prayers The Christian Life is actually a life live not for oneself but others. The erroneous teachings prevalent among certain Christian circles has made a lot of believers self-centered. This self-centeredness is evident in our lifestyle, attitude and even prayer lives. Nowadays, the prayer of a believer is usually all about himself. Hardly does he take out time to pray for others. When he does, it is because those people are nuclear family members. Eve what we call 'intercesory prayers' are now self-centered. I've been in services where someone is asked to lead in intercessory prayers and we ended up praying for ourselves instead. This wasn't what Paul and the early believers practiced. Paul speaking to Philemon tells him how he mentions him in prayers. Notice the frequency; Paul said not sometimes but always. Imagine Paul having time to always pray fo

Theme: Speak Out Anchor Text: Numbers 27:1-7 [1]Then came the daughters of Zelophehad, the son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, of the families of Manasseh the son of Joseph: and these are the names of his daughters; Mahlah, Noah, and Hoglah, and Milcah, and Tirzah. [2]And they stood before Moses, and before Eleazar the priest, and before the princes and all the congregation, by the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, saying, [3]Our father died in the wilderness, and he was not in the company of them that gathered themselves together against the LORD in the company of Korah; but died in his own sin, and had no sons. [4]Why should the name of our father be done away from among his family, because he hath no son? Give unto us therefore a possession among the brethren of our father. [5]And Moses brought their cause before the LORD. [6]And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, [7]The daughters of Zelophehad speak right: thou shalt surel

Theme: Victory Assured Anchor Text: John 16:33 (New Living Translation) I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.” Many folks tend to focus on the first part of our anchor text today and neglect the last part. They dwell so much on the trials and sorrows that we're to encounter that they forgot that Jesus didn't end the statement at just that. So these set of Christians walk through life expecting troubles, trials and sorrows at every turn, alleyroad and stops of life. They forget that the Master said we should take heart that He had done something. On the flip side of the coin, there are those who who don't think and belive children of God are to go through troubles, trials and sorrows. Since Jesus has overcome the world these things shouldn't be in our lives. These set of folks actually know the word more than that Word Himself (Jesus)

Theme: How Glory Comes Anchor Text: John 17:4-5 [4]I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. [5]And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was. A lot has been said about the word 'glory'. We pray for it, we desire it and even sow seeds for it. Funny. Yet Glory is not something that happens by chance to a man. Like every of God's eternal gifts and resources, the release and return of glory is predicated on principles. Jesus in what should rightly be called the Lord's prayer showed us how glory comes. The Master was clothed with the same Divine Glory whcih the Father had before the beginning of anything that had a beginning. Yet, because of the task at hand he laid down that glory and took on the form of man. When he was done with the task He was given, He asked for a return of His full Divine Glory. What principle do we learn from this? Glory c

Theme: The Test of Faithfulness Anchor Text: Luke 16:10-12 (New Living Translation) 16:10 “If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities. 16:11 And if you are untrustworthy about worldly wealth, who will trust you with the true riches of heaven? 16:12 And if you are not faithful with other people’s things, why should you be trusted with things of your own? The principle of heaven concerning how it entrusts its resources to a man is based on the track record and ability of that person to properly manage that which he already has. God doesn't release his blessings to a man who can't manage the present blessings he enjoys. So before handing over new resources which brings new responsibilities, He tests our faithfulness. Every level we find ourselves in is a test to determine if we are qualified for the next level of blessings. The reason most folks

Theme: This is Love Anchor Text: 2 John 1:6 [6]And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it. One of the most common words on planet Earth is 'Love'. It is a common concept that's frequently discussed and defined. Yet most folks don't seem to fully grasp what it truly is. Even among Christians we talk so much about love yet we don't act in love. We sing about how much we love God but love is not all about words. John the Apostle reveals to us what love is. Walking after God's commandments; that is love. Saying you love God and yet you're not obedient to His commands (both general and personal) is hypocritical. Obedience is what the Father expects from His children who love Him. Just as He has made everything available to us because He loves us. He loved Adam and gave him all in the garden. Adam was to reciprocate that love by obeying His command; ye

Theme: My God is Faithful Anchor Text: 1 Corinthians 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. What is the standard of measurement that determines the kind of temptations we face? Are the temptations we face in life a random occurrence or is there a filter that dictates that which trickles to us? Indeed there is a standard and the temptations we encounter aren't by any means random. It is important to understand that the word temptation from the original Greek which is 'peirasmos' meant 'putting to proof'. In other words, the temptations we face exist to prove us; to test what kind of stuff we're made of. Who else is equipped to carry out such tests than the One who made us. He who knows what He deposited in us and is well aware of our capacity and ability

Theme: My God: My Shepherd Anchor Text: Psalms 23:1 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. The 23rd Psalm is one of the most well known passages of the Bible. The description is so vivid and real that it is certain that the one who wrote this understood and must have an in-depth experience concerning that which he wrote. The 23rd Psalm is a psalm of assurance and it's opening verse sets that in motion immediately. David probably thought of himself as a shepherd leading those sheep through the mountains and finding pasture and water for them. Not to mention the times he had to fight beasts to keep them safe. He then thought of how God had led him through the years and all he could say was the Lord is my Shepherd. How often have you thought of God's guidance, provision and protection deeply for these are the functions of a Shepherd towards his sheep. He guides them, provides for them and protects them. The Lord is my Shepherd: I don't need to go worrying abo

Theme: My God: My Glory Anchor Text: Psalms 3:3 [3]But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head. Back in the garden of Eden, Adam and Eve enjoyed all of God's abundance and blessings. Everything was at their command. Their authority upon the Earth was final. When they sinned against God and rejected His rule, they lost something important: They lost glory. Apparently all the while they were both naked but couldn't notice it because God's glory covered their insecurities. The Hebrew word for glory is 'kabod'. The literal meaning of kabod is weighty or heavy. The Hebrews spoke of kabod as the weightiness or heaviness of God's Presence. So when God's Presence was revealed upon the mountain, they saw the weightiness of God's Presence; in a way it was always noticeable. God's Glory in a man's life will always be noticed by others around. It is a unique weight that acts like a covering around such a man. A

Theme: My God: My Light Anchor Text: Psalms 27:1 1]The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? Everyone on the planet understands how important light is. Light is akin to Life because Life thrives where Light exists. The sun supplies the planet Earth Light which is a major reason Life exists and thrives here. Even with the human made light supplied by electricity, we can all agree that it's made life easier. Where there is light there is happiness. Light encourages activity. Without light it will be impossible to see what's around not to mention what's ahead. Light dispels fear and saves one from impending doom. When you see the danger ahead, you can avoid it. David understood this all too well and He knew that if he will be saved from destruction ahead he needed light. He knew that the fear around him was just a product of darkness; that when light appears fear goes away. All he need

Theme: GOD: Our Guide Anchor Text: Psalms 48:14 [14]For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death. Some folks will readily liken and describe the life we live as a journey. This journey begins when we are born and ends when we are dead. Many will also say that the journey of life isn't actually a straight road as one would want it to be. It is more like a complicated maze wherein one can get stuck in the same spot. Hence, a lot of people have become frustrated in life because they just can't find their way through this maze. Yet there is always a way; in fact there is THE WAY. What if you had a personal guide who was always leading you and directing you on what turn to take, what bridge to climb, etc. And I don't mean Google navigator. What if this guide could tell you not just the next turn to take but how your life on Earth here will end as far as you're obedient to His guidance? Our anchor text calls God our guide eve

Theme: My GOD: My Inheritance Anchor Text: Psalms 16:5&6 16:5 Lord, You alone are my inheritance, my cup of blessing.     You guard all that is mine. 16:6 The land You have given me is a pleasant land.     What a wonderful inheritance! When a man enjoys intimate relationship with God, God doesn't just give such people things, He gives Himself. GOD told Abraham "I am your shield, and your exceeding great reward" (Genesis 15:1). When God is your reward or inheritance, He also becomes your guard and shield. God gave us Himself in the person of Jesus. Therefore we are partakers of His inheritance. 'Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:' (Colossians 1:12) When God is a man's inheritance it means everything created, seen and unseen belongs to such a man. That's why Melchizedek spoke of Abraham as the possesor of heaven and Earth (Genesis 14:19) In this month, the call
