Theme: How Glory Comes

Anchor Text: John 17:4-5
[4]I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.
[5]And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.

A lot has been said about the word 'glory'. We pray for it, we desire it and even sow seeds for it. Funny.

Yet Glory is not something that happens by chance to a man. Like every of God's eternal gifts and resources, the release and return of glory is predicated on principles.

Jesus in what should rightly be called the Lord's prayer showed us how glory comes. The Master was clothed with the same Divine Glory whcih the Father had before the beginning of anything that had a beginning. Yet, because of the task at hand he laid down that glory and took on the form of man.

When he was done with the task He was given, He asked for a return of His full Divine Glory. What principle do we learn from this?

Glory comes when a man acts according to the instruction given to him by the Father and performs that which is asked of him. A man who is yet to submit and comply with the Divine task given is not worthy of glory.

God asked Moses to make a Tabernacle of worship according to instructions. That was a task and Moses did all according to the instruction given. When the Tabernacle was to be dedicated, the glory of God came down upon the Tabernacle. Same thing happened when Solomon built the temple which God had said that he was to do.

When you perform any task or assignment given to you by the Father, you bring down glory upon your life. The more completed tasks, the more glory you carry.

I pray for us all that the Grace to comply and carry out Divine assignments be imparted in us in Jesus name.

Stay Graced...
