 Theme: Victory Assured

Anchor Text: John 16:33 (New Living Translation)
I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”

Many folks tend to focus on the first part of our anchor text today and neglect the last part. They dwell so much on the trials and sorrows that we're to encounter that they forgot that Jesus didn't end the statement at just that.

So these set of Christians walk through life expecting troubles, trials and sorrows at every turn, alleyroad and stops of life. They forget that the Master said we should take heart that He had done something.

On the flip side of the coin, there are those who who don't think and belive children of God are to go through troubles, trials and sorrows. Since Jesus has overcome the world these things shouldn't be in our lives. These set of folks actually know the word more than that Word Himself (Jesus).

Rev Kenneth Hagin always said that Christians should always remain in the middle of the road rather than falling into either side of the ditch. Therefore what is the balanced truth from what the Master said unto us?

It simply means that challenges are bound to come our way as children of God, but when they do at every instance our victory is assured. Not in our abilities but in His finished work on the cross when He completely overcame the world.

The same world in which we experience sorrows and troubles is the same world Jesus overcame. Therefore no mater what the world throws at a child of God, he/she is bound to come out on top with a big smile.

Affirmation: Since Jesus has overcome the world, my victory is sure. No matter what comes my way I have overcome. I am not going to overcome, I already have overcome. From.today I only win. Amen.

Stay Graced...
