Theme: My God: My Shepherd
Anchor Text: Psalms 23:1
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
The 23rd Psalm is one of the most well known passages of the Bible. The description is so vivid and real that it is certain that the one who wrote this understood and must have an in-depth experience concerning that which he wrote.
The 23rd Psalm is a psalm of assurance and it's opening verse sets that in motion immediately.
David probably thought of himself as a shepherd leading those sheep through the mountains and finding pasture and water for them. Not to mention the times he had to fight beasts to keep them safe. He then thought of how God had led him through the years and all he could say was the Lord is my Shepherd.
How often have you thought of God's guidance, provision and protection deeply for these are the functions of a Shepherd towards his sheep. He guides them, provides for them and protects them.
The Lord is my Shepherd: I don't need to go worrying about my next meal because my God; my Shepherd will provide it.
The Lord is my Shepherd: I don't need to get confused if I'm on the right track because my God; my Shepherd is guiding and leading me.
The Lord is my Shepherd: I don't need to get scared of the enemies around me because my God; my Shepherd is protecting me.
"My God is My Shepherd" affirm that today and let Divine peace permeate through your entire being.
Stay Graced...
