Spirit Breakfast 🍞☕ 6th February 2019

Theme: It isn't about talking.

Anchor Text: 1 Corinthians 4:20 New Living Translation
For the Kingdom of God is not just a lot of talk; it is living by God’s power.

In the days when the Bible was exclusive to the clergy and few nobles but not in the hands of the general public, only the priests had the privilege of interpreting and explaining the scriptures.

Fast forward to our present time with the help of technological advancements which started with the printing press' invention in 1436 by Johann Gutenberg and the selfless sacrifice of men such as William Tyndale and Martin Luther to ensure that all echelons of society have equal access to the Bible has made the Bible accessible to all.
The Christian faith has experienced amazing increase of those who believe in the Lord Jesus and the kingdom is advancing. With this onward increase one thing has also been on a steady increase which is 'knowledge'. Daniel 12:4 '...even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.'
The knowledge of the Bible is also inclusive in this prophecy by Daniel. So today we have eloquent speakers filled with knowledge of the Bible. (Mind you, knowledge could either be right or wrong. Knowledge is simply the fact of knowing about something). A good number of believers can interpret the Bible and truth is the extent to which one interprets is based on the level of one's understanding.

Given an opportunity anyone in this kingdom and even outside it can speak words that would wow his/her listeners  but that's not what the kingdom is about.

The kingdom is not about a bunch of people with head knowledge about a thing they don't live.
The kingdom is a lifestyle and a life of the absolute manifestation of God's power at work in and through a person.

The kingdom isn't about a people who can argue scriptures and give exegesis without living proof.
The kingdom is God operating from the inside of man and causing the environment around him to experience and encounter God's omnipotence.

The kingdom is a holy life reflective of the very kind the serpahims and four beasts cry night and day: Isaiah 6:3 '...holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.' Revelation 4:8 '...Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.'

The kingdom is being God's instrument that brings about Habakkuk 2:4
'For as the waters fill the sea, the earth will be filled with an awareness of the glory of the LORD.'(NLT)

Enough talking let's draw from the depths of untapped power that God has reserved for this generation by living a life of holiness, dedication and utmost yieldedness to the move of the Spirit...the latter rain is coming.

Prayer: O Lord release your rain let us be drenched in the realities of heaven. Cause us to understand far beyond what our human intellect can reason that we are here to show the world your sovereign might.
