Theme: My God: My Light

Anchor Text: Psalms 27:1
1]The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

Everyone on the planet understands how important light is. Light is akin to Life because Life thrives where Light exists. The sun supplies the planet Earth Light which is a major reason Life exists and thrives here.

Even with the human made light supplied by electricity, we can all agree that it's made life easier. Where there is light there is happiness.

Light encourages activity. Without light it will be impossible to see what's around not to mention what's ahead. Light dispels fear and saves one from impending doom. When you see the danger ahead, you can avoid it.

David understood this all too well and He knew that if he will be saved from destruction ahead he needed light. He knew that the fear around him was just a product of darkness; that when light appears fear goes away. All he needed was light.

He went further and recognized that only God could bring this light. That's why he prayed in Psalms 18:28 and said 'For thou wilt light my candle: the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness.' And not just that God could lighten his darkness but that God was actually His Light: God is Light Himself.

In essence, when God is with you the very power that even began creation (Genesis 1:3 Let there be Light) is working for you.

God is your light, stop being afraid.
God is your light, stop being discouraged.
Don't let anyone put you down or mock you.
There's new life about to shine forth from you.
Come on say it with belief: *"MY GOD IS MY LIGHT!"*

I pray that God will enlighten your darkness and bring glory out of it in Jesus name.

Theme: My God: My Shepherd Anchor Text: Psalms 23:1 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. The 23rd Psalm is one of the most well known passages of the Bible. The description is so vivid and real that it is certain that the one who wrote this understood and must have an in-depth experience concerning that which he wrote. The 23rd Psalm is a psalm of assurance and it's opening verse sets that in motion immediately. Topic: Love Not The World Text: 1 John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him . John the Apostle had a personal relationship with Jesus during His time here on Earth. The relationship was so deep that he was referred to as "the beloved" of Jesus. Therefore, he understood what it means to love Jesus and be loved by Jesus. In his epistle, he decides to speak a great deal about love. Love is one of the major themes of this apostle. So much so it earned him the nickname 'The Apostle of love" John submission is that anyone who loves the world does not have the love of the Father. Which is why he encouraged the believers no to love the world, nor the things in it. Sadly, many believers have not only fallen in love with the world, but have laid in bed with the world. Theme: Isaiah 43:18-21 interpreted in relation to  Salvation. (Pt 11) Sub Theme: All will Honour God Anchor Text: Isaiah 43:20 The beast of the field shall honour me, the dragons and the owls: because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen. Based on our anchor text, we discover that the reason the beast of the field, dragons and the owls would honour God was because He gave waters in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. Like we have established already that the Holy Spirit is the One who causes waters in the wilderness (salvation) and rivers to flow in the desert (Holy Spirit baptism). These creatures mentioned weren't physical rather they were spiritual entities. They were the demonic forces that try to oppose God's rule on Earth.
