Theme: My God is Faithful

Anchor Text: 1 Corinthians 10:13
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

What is the standard of measurement that determines the kind of temptations we face? Are the temptations we face in life a random occurrence or is there a filter that dictates that which trickles to us?

Indeed there is a standard and the temptations we encounter aren't by any means random. It is important to understand that the word temptation from the original Greek which is 'peirasmos' meant 'putting to proof'. In other words, the temptations we face exist to prove us; to test what kind of stuff we're made of.

Who else is equipped to carry out such tests than the One who made us. He who knows what He deposited in us and is well aware of our capacity and ability.

Therefore the major factor that determines what kind of temptation that comes our way is the Faithfulness of God. Faithfulness in what sense? This Faithfulness is based on the truth that God will ever be true to testing and proving us not based on any criteria but solely on that which He knows we are capable of.

Just like a manufacturer will never test run a product beyond that it's ability, God will never test us beyond our ability. This is the rule that guides the level of tests that we face.

One interesting thing when this temptation comes is that the God still makes a way of escape for us. Therefore you can always trust God's Faithfulness to get you out our every temptation.

Topic: Love Not The World Text: 1 John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him . John the Apostle had a personal relationship with Jesus during His time here on Earth. The relationship was so deep that he was referred to as "the beloved" of Jesus. Therefore, he understood what it means to love Jesus and be loved by Jesus. In his epistle, he decides to speak a great deal about love. Love is one of the major themes of this apostle. So much so it earned him the nickname 'The Apostle of love" John submission is that anyone who loves the world does not have the love of the Father. Theme: Isaiah 43:18-21 interpreted in relation to  Salvation. (Pt 11) Sub Theme: All will Honour God Anchor Text: Isaiah 43:20 The beast of the field shall honour me, the dragons and the owls: because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen. Based on our anchor text, we discover that the reason the beast of the field, dragons and the owls would honour God was because He gave waters in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. Like we have established already that the Holy Spirit is the One who causes waters in the wilderness (salvation) and rivers to flow in the desert (Holy Spirit baptism). These creatures mentioned weren't physical rather they were spiritual entities. They were the demonic forces that try to oppose God's rule on Earth.
