Spirit Breakfast 8/3/2021
Text: Ephesians 5:18 (New Living Translation)
Don’t be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit.
Continued from last time...
How does making Melody in the heart help one to maintain stillness?
Although Melody is manifested through sounds and hums, the initial origin is in the heart.
The heart is the centre of a man's being. It is the source from which all that a man is originates from.
No wonder Proverbs 23:7 says "For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he..."
Proverbs 4:23 also says: "Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life."
In other words, the products of your life come from your heart, thereofe the heart must be diligently guarded and kept.
The heart is responsible for dictating so many things including the stillness of one's soul.
When we talked about meditation, we said meditation helps you to hide God's word in your heart. The target of meditation and making melody is the heart.
The heart also is safeguarded when we make Melody in our heart. This is because making Melody is an act of putting your hope in God.
Melody is a spiritual and powerful tool for soothing and queiting the soul.
The soul of a man can be cast down, it can be disquieted (Psalms 43:5) but through the act of making Melody in the heart, you can restore the stillness of the soul.
This is why David was dear to God's heart because he knew how to guard his own heart through Melody and praises.
When you make Melody in your heart, you connect yourself to the same frequency of the Spirit because Melody are birthed by the Spirit of God within us.
We'll continue tomorrow by God's grace and look at how to make a practice of this biblical instruction.
The prophetic word for you this week is that your cup will run over in Jesus name. Declare it, it shall come to pass.
Have a graced day...
