Maintaining Intimacy with the Spirit in a Busy World (V)
Spirit Breakfast 16/2/2021
Text: Ephesians 5:18 (New Living Translation)
Don’t be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit.
Continued from yesterday...
Psalms 46:10 says "Be still, and know that I am God".
In other portions of the scripture, men are told to stand still to see the salvation of the Lord and also to hear the word of the Lord.
In the verse of the Psalm above, "know" means a deep understanding birthed by intimate disclosure.
It is a knowledge that is akin to secrets that are only revealed to close and dear ones.
To be still is to quiet one's spirit and eliminate opposing influence that is contrary to God.
It is a state of resting solely in the words of the Lord.
Intimacy with the Holy Spirit is strengthened when one exhibits stillness.
When a man is still, fear is eliminated because fear is a negative force contrary to God's operating system.
There are two major ways to maintain stillness:
i. Meditate on the Word.
ii. Make melodies in your heart.
We will expansiate on these two tomorrow by God's grace.
Remember, the purpose of this series is to help those who are busy to maintain their intimacy with the Holy Spirit.
If you follow these teachings, I'm very sure your intimacy level will be greatly increased.
I decree this day that God will open your eyes to see opportunities around you.
Have a graced day...
