Text: Isaiah 40:31

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Continued from yesterday...

Contrary to a popular myth, eagles do not go up to a mountain top to pull off their feathers. They don't break off their talons and beaks either. This article debunks that myth.

Instead, eagles naturally lose their feathers through a molting process at least once a year. The old feathers fall off naturally and are replaced by new ones.

This is a renewal process. To renew simply means to make new again. What is old is made new again.

Isaiah 40:31 says that those who wait on God shall renew their strength. The strength of the eagle is in its wings (feathers). The wings are responsible for causing it to soar above 10,000 feet in the air.

For anyone to renew their strength, it takes waiting on God. Job said "...all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come." (Job 14:14)

This tells us that there are appointed times in our lives just like the eagle has its time of renewal. There is a time appointed that will bring about our renewing and postive change.

The eagle depends on the system God has put inside of it to cause that renewing. The same way, we ought to wait on God for His system of renewing.

It is only then can we receive the strength required for us to soar into heights never imagined possible.

I pray for you, your strength will be renewed in this month and you will soar into great heights in Jesus name.

Have a graced month of September...
