Text: Proverbs 29:18

Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

The problem of many in terms of goal achievement is reduced focus as they get closer to their goals. Many often take their eyes of the ball as they get closer.

One of the reasons is because they think they've already attained their goals because of their proximity to the target. And every true athlete knows that what happens at the last lap of the race is the most crucial.

A good percentage of people on the planet when they set goals begin with all focus and intensity. But as they continue, focus wanes as a result of the challenges.

An eagle sees its target from afar and approaches it with an initial focus but as it gets closer, its eye muscles continue to adjust focus on its target until it catches it.

Focus ensures that a plan is seen to the end. Vision gets you started but focus keeps you on course.

Paul the Apostle said in Philippians 3:13 "No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead."

Forget the past mistakes, don't look at the current challenges, but set your eyes steadfast on the goal you've set for your life.

Continue to readjust your focus as you get closer to your goal. Don't become complacent or overconfident. Celebrating comes after winning and not before.

I see you winning...

“Always remember, your focus determines your reality.” ~ George Lucas
