Text: Proverbs 29:18
Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.
There are three types of sight: Hindsight, insight, and foresight.
Hindsight deals with being able learn to wisdom based on issues that occurred in the past. Insight deals with having practical wisdom that can be applied for a current situation.
Foresight is being able to plan and apply wisdom for events that are yet to occur. Foresight is a function of vision.
What gives God the ultimate edge over all of creation is foresight. God sees the end from the beginning and knows how to apply wisdom to suit all His good purposes.
An eagle has foresight and this allows it to plan its attack even before it takes off or dives at it's prey.
Foresight is an attribute that gives one a higher success rate.
Men with foresight plan ahead, the trends don't catch them unaware. If you are always surprised at how things happen to you, you are yet to master the power of foresight.
How do you develop foresight?
1. Be plugged into God; He knows and sees all. Being connected to Him grants you access into that dimension.
2. Study trends.
3. Have a long term plan for major areas of you life.
4. Be proactive. Many know but few do. That is why few grow while many remain fixated.
"One can have only as much preparation as he has foresight." ~ Jim Butcher
