Text: Proverbs 29:18
Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.
An eagle has 340 degrees field of vision and does not suffer from any refractive error. Hence, we can say it has a broad and wide perspective.
Perspective can be defined as a particular way of considering something. It can also be said to be the point of view of a person regarding an issue.
Having a flexible and wide perspective allows you to see opportunities around you. Not in every occasion will your idea be the best.
A change in perspective towards a problem can instantly bring about the solution you've been looking for. If you are fixated on a particular point of view, there is a high possibility you will remain stuck with a particular problem.
Many large business that seem to be stuck at a particular level hire consultants. The primary reason for this is to help them look at the issue with a fresh pair of eyes and from another angle.
The narrow-minded see just beyond their noses, but the open-minded are exposed to opportunities all around them.
Having a broad perspective improves your relationship with others. What you see as the figure "9" might actually be the figure "6" to another person based on where you both are standing and looking at the figure from.
Instead of arguing about it, a change in perspective (looking at it from their point of view) will cause you to understand why they act and talk the way they do. This makes you more accommodating and capable of learning more from others.
"If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change." ~ Wayne Dyer
