*Spirit Breakfast* 🍞☕ _2/4/2019_

*Theme:* The value of positive counsel
*Anchor Texts:*
Proverbs 11:14 _Without wise leadership, a nation falls;     there is safety in having many advisers._
Proverbs 15:31 _If you listen to constructive criticism,     you will be at home among the wise._

The succession of each generation lies in the hands of counsellors. And by counsellors I don't mean those who have that as a tiltle or a profession, but rather those who are concerned and interested in equipping the next generation with vital wisdom they require in any aspect of life.

The truth is when counsellors are absent things go bad. In most cases when evil is to befall a blessing or a nation, counsel is withdrawn or a person chooses wrong counsel.  The scripture is filled with typical examples of of such. Even our contemporary time proves same.

Among some of such examples in the Bible where the failure to choose the right cousnel proved fatal were the cases of Absalom; son of David and Rehoboam; the son of Solomon, grandson of David.

It is true we live in the last days whereby disobedience to counsel is on the rise daily, yet children of God shouldn't be part of such trend.

Anyone who desires to rise to the level of leadership and prominence must surround himself/herself with trusted counsellors and take from those counsels, constructive criticisms and opinions and extract the wisdom out of them to further your life's purpose.

If you feel too big for counsel, then you're not fit for Leadership. Always be willing to listen to an advice from anyone and I mean anyone. Sometimes those whom you feel are not qualified to give you counsel, are equipped with the wisdom of/from God that is capable of setting you on the right track.

I pray that God will surround you with wise counsellors in Jesus name.

Stay Graced...
