Topic: Understanding the Gospel Mystery Text: Ephesians 3:3-5 (New Living Translation) 3:3 As I briefly wrote earlier, God himself revealed his mysterious plan to me. 3:4 As you read what I have written, you will understand my insight into this plan regarding Christ. 3:5 God did not reveal it to previous generations, but now by his Spirit he has revealed it to his holy apostles and prophets. The Gospel is a mystery. The plan of God to incorporate all of the world into His family feels so strange and incomprehensible. It's its mysterious nature that warranted it being called the Gospel which by literal translation means "too good to be true news". This mystery was concealed from the eyes and hearts of those before Jesus' ascension to heaven  and the descent of the Holy Spirit. The concealing of the mystery is why they couldn't fully grasp what the mystery was: The Divine plan for mankind.  Since the Testator Jesus was alive, the New Testament coul...

Topic: Fathers promote, not provoke. Colossians 3:21 (Amplified Bible) [21]Fathers, do not provoke or irritate or fret your children [do not be hard on them or harass them], lest they become discouraged and sullen and morose and feel inferior and frustrated. [Do not break their spirit.] The role of a father to his his children is that of a source. Many don't understand this. A child draws majority of his attribute and character from the father. As fathers, you are a source of encouragement, motivation and support to your children. Your words become the foundation upon which they build their lives. Therefore, it is important we watch how we speak to our children. This is also true for those who occupy a father figure all across different walks of life. There are those who look up to you as a father figure and the way you relate with them plays a significant role in their journey to greatness. The father is the provider of all necessary to sustain the life of his chi...

Topic: Rich in Mercy Text: Ephesians 2:4&5 (New Living Translation) 2:4 But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, 2:5 that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!) One of the attributes of God like all of His other attributes that cannot be exhausted is HIS MERCY. All we are, all we have received, and all that we will become is a product of God's Mercy. Paul described God as being so rich in Mercy. He has so much Mercy to give away if only we will accept it. I pray fo you as I pray for myself that we won't miss out on the rich mercies of God in Jesus name. Have a Graced day. #SpiritBreakfast™ #TestimonyTuesday™ #PastorMuve™

*Topic: The Builder* *Text: Hebrews 3:4 (New Living Translation)* _For every house has a builder, but the one who built everything is God._ By common sense we agree that no house came to be on its own. Every house was built by a builder. It stands to reason that the universe also came to existence by the intellect of a Wise Builder. The intricately arranged pattern and attention to detail in design attest to the brilliance of an Intellectual mind at work. The artistic tapestry of the universe woven together to complement each other components cannot be said to have occurred by chance. The complexity of even human DNA as well as it's individuality points to the work of a Master Designer. With all that's happening around the world today, just sit down and reflect on the wonderful work of the Builder. Have a Graced day... #SpiritBreakfast™ #FruitfulFriday™ #PastorMuve™

Topic: Proof of Discipleship Text: John 13:35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. The proof of our discipleship is not the fact that we pray in tongues for hours. It is not fasting for a whole year. Neither is it studying the entire Bible 5 times back to back. Funny enough it is not by the number of souls we win. The fundamental and foundational proof that you are a disciple is that you practise love. It is the practise of love that makes all we do acceptable services unto God. It is not that you have love but that you practise it. Every child of God, every believer in Christ Jesus has love. "And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us" Romans 5:5 At the new birth, love is sent into our hearts by the Spirit of Christ. We are not trying to have love; we already have it. God is Love. We are now sons of God; therefore we have th...

Topic: Hated by the World Text: John 15:17-25 Sometimes when we look at the kind of criticism and opposition believers face, one might be tempted to wonder why the world doesn't love the church. Over the years, the Church in her bid to be socially and politically correct has done her best to be loved and respected by the world. Yet, it seems like the more she tries the more she is hated and constantly criticized. Christian leaders take the greater portion of these criticisms and attacks. All these can be a bit overwhelming when we look at it from the natural point of view. However, from the biblical point of view, it shouldn't be strange to us. I was discussing with a pastor friend concerning these constant jibes and attacks on Christian leaders. Subtly the Spirit of the Lord impressed it in my heart that even Jesus Christ had critics and oppositions. You see, if Jesus with all the good which He did was no free from attacks, then we shouldn't be surprise...

Topic: Revelation of Jesus through Bible Study Text: Luke 24:15-16,25-27,30-31 [15]And it came to pass, that, while they communed together and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them. [16]But their eyes were holden that they should not know him. [25]Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken: [26]Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory? [27]And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself. [30]And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them. [31]And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight. Nowadays it's common for you to hear believers of Christ say things like: "I want Jesus to be revealed to me", "I want to encounter Jesus", "Lord, I want to see You", etc. Sadly, if you...

Topic: A turned away heart (II) Text: 1 Kings 11:4&6 [4]For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as was the heart of David his father. [6]And Solomon did evil in the sight of the LORD, and went not fully after the LORD, as did David his father. Solomon despite His initial encounters with God early in life failed later in life. The heart of the king that was originally fixed on the Lord became turned away from Him. What caused this? The answer is found in verse 2. He was disobedient to God's instructions regarding the fellowship of the women he associated with and even married. The scriptures say these women turned away the heart of the king. Verse 6 has a striking information about the whole saga. It records that "...Solomon went not fully after the Lord". This suggests that despite having his heart turned, the kings still tried to go afte...

Topic: Teach me Lord Text: Psalms 25:4 Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths. The futility we go through in trying to uncover and discover for ourselves the ways and the paths of the Lord is because we adopt the wrong strategy. The ways and the paths of the Lord are not discovered, they are revealed. This revelation does not come by accident but it is taught in the school of the Spirit. Apart from the gift of salvation which Jesus brought, his primary ministry on Earth was teaching. He focused much on it that He was commonly addressed as "Rabbi" which means "Teacher". The Holy Spirit who is ever with us is also sent to "teach us all things" (John 14:26) This teachings do not occur by happenstance. It is consciously engaged in. It is required that we continuously with each passing day asked to be taught by the Holy Spirit. David a man after God's heart always prayed in humility that the Lord teach him. He weaned and queited ...

Topic: Look to Jesus Text: Hebrews 12:2 (Amplified Bible) Looking away [from all that will distract] to Jesus, Who is the Leader and the Source of our faith [giving the first incentive for our belief] and is also its Finisher [bringing it to maturity and perfection]. He, for the joy [of obtaining the prize] that was set before Him, endured the cross, despising and ignoring the shame, and is now seated at the right hand of the throne of God. At this point where there seems to be a lot of confusion even among believers. At this time when we do not know who to believe completely and even trust. At this period where the words of even men we thought were spiritual do not hold much water. We still have a focal point. We have an anchor. We have a source for which all that we are and will be comes from. The instruction is still clear and even more important these days. Keep looking unto Jesus. Let's look away from all that will distract us and try to affect our faith. Let...

Topic: Not for Fame Text: Psalms 115:1 Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy, and for thy truth's sake. God is calling the church back to pure service. However, our motives need to be checked. In an era where folks want the recognition and the fame for their service for God, God is seeking those who'll do it just for His Glory. The lack of manifestation of God's Power is because we try to share the Glory with Him. Even Jesus never sought the glory for Himself. When they wanted to make Him king, He refused such Glory. Can we have true believers who'll emerge from this period solely seeking that the whole Earth be filled with the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover seas? Believers who won't mind creating generational impact even though they remain unknown in the shadows unseen by men. God is seeking those who will not call tthe attention to themselves but direct the Glory to God. "He must increase, but ...

Topic: Like a Thief in the Night Text: 1 Thessalonians 5:1-4 (New Living Translation) 5:1 Now concerning how and when all this will happen, dear brothers and sisters, we don’t really need to write you. 5:2 For you know quite well that the day of the Lord’s return will come unexpectedly, like a thief in the night. 5:3 When people are saying, “Everything is peaceful and secure,” then disaster will fall on them as suddenly as a pregnant woman’s labor pains begin. And there will be no escape. 5:4 But you aren’t in the dark about these things, dear brothers and sisters, and you won’t be surprised when the day of the Lord comes like a thief. During this global pandemic, many have risen from different circles to resound the imminent rapture of the saints. Some give the warning almost with an assurance that it will happen during this pandemic. Biblically, the rapture won't happen when everyone is "prepared". The rapture is God's surprise package. It will catch m...

Topic: Thy Will be Done Text: Matthew 6:10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. The efficiency of every spiritual activity is determined by it's agreement to " God's Sovereign and Perfect Will" Prayer which is a spiritual tool of connecting to God as well as enforcing God's decree upon the Earth is subject to God's will. This is why Jesus in the model for prayer said that we must enforce God's Will once we've hallowed His name before asking for anything else. In other words, it is God's Will that determines even the provisions we receive. We must understand that there is a general Will of God that has been made known to us through His Word. Nevertheless, there is a specific Will of God that is revealed to individuals in the place of intimacy. It is God's general Will that His people won't lack bread so He asked us to ask for our daily bread. However, God's specific Will for an individual mi...

Topic: Be Filled With the Holy Spirit Text: Ephesians 5:18-20 (New Living Translation) 5:18 Don’t be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit, 5:19 singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs among yourselves, and making music to the Lord in your hearts. 5:20 And give thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. 5:21 And further, submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. Although the place of isolation is a place of revelations, there is a requirement that must be met for the revelations to come. One must be "in the Spirit" if he/she is to receive revelations from the Lord. Hence, it is important that the said person be filled with the Holy Spirit to a point so overwhelming it consumes, possesses and takes over the entirety of his/her being. The bubbling of the Spirit within our bowels begins from the inside of us as Jesus said " out of your belly shall flow River...

Topic: Revelation in Isolation Text: Revelation 1:1,9 [1]The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John: [9]I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ. Isn't it funny how God uses our periods of isolation, loneliness, and separation to bring us revelations that we wouldn't have been able to receive when we're in the crowd? Despite the love the Apostle John had for Jesus, he never received the Revelation of Jesus Christ until he was "isolated" on the isle of Patmos. A period of isolation and loneliness is a powerful tool that can be used to shape the future. Great men do their best thinking in isolation. All through the scripture, we see people inte...
