Topic: Revelation in Isolation
Text: Revelation 1:1,9
[1]The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:
[9]I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.
Isn't it funny how God uses our periods of isolation, loneliness, and separation to bring us revelations that we wouldn't have been able to receive when we're in the crowd?
Despite the love the Apostle John had for Jesus, he never received the Revelation of Jesus Christ until he was "isolated" on the isle of Patmos.
A period of isolation and loneliness is a powerful tool that can be used to shape the future.
Great men do their best thinking in isolation.
All through the scripture, we see people interacting with God in the place of isolation.
Jacob received a change of name in isolation.
Moses got the laws while isolated on the mountains.
David got many of the Psalms while isolated in the wilderness.
John the Baptizer grew strong in the spirit while alone in the wilderness.
Jesus received the template for ministerial success in his 40 day isolation in the wilderness.
Paul got revelations of Jesus Christ that made him excel other apostles while alone in the desert of Arabia.
The 120 disciples received the Holy Spirit while separated from others in the upper room.
These encounters received by these men and women not only shaped their future but that of many others.
The place of isolation is a place of Revelation.
It is a place of receiving visions of the future.
It is a place of receiving instructions to direct the world.
It is a place of receiving sounds and songs that will heal the soul.
It is a place of receiving Graces that will command nations.
It is a place of receiving interpretations that will shape the economic scope of a nation.
The place of isolation is a time of being "in the Spirit" as John was.
My challenge to you this day being the first day of April is that you use this period of isolation to receive Revelations for the future.
After every time of isolation come a time of manifestation based on the level of revelations received.
This isolation will surely come to pass, but will you manifest once it's over?
I'll let you answer that one.
Have a Graced day.
