Topic: Teach me Lord

Text: Psalms 25:4
Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths.

The futility we go through in trying to uncover and discover for ourselves the ways and the paths of the Lord is because we adopt the wrong strategy.

The ways and the paths of the Lord are not discovered, they are revealed.

This revelation does not come by accident but it is taught in the school of the Spirit.

Apart from the gift of salvation which Jesus brought, his primary ministry on Earth was teaching.

He focused much on it that He was commonly addressed as "Rabbi" which means "Teacher".

The Holy Spirit who is ever with us is also sent to "teach us all things" (John 14:26)

This teachings do not occur by happenstance. It is consciously engaged in. It is required that we continuously with each passing day asked to be taught by the Holy Spirit.

David a man after God's heart always prayed in humility that the Lord teach him.

He weaned and queited his soul so that he might learn of the Lord.

In this period, we need to ask Him once again to teach us.

Oh Lord! We don't want to figure out Your ways, paths, and patterns because we'll never understand it.

The mysteries of God are too deep to unravel ourselves, hence we need to be taught and led.

We need to ask for that anointing that teaches and causes our hearts to understand.

Let's return to the School of the Spirit with the heart of a student.

Solomon the son of David said "...but I am a little child; I do not know how to go out or come in" (1 Kings 3:2)

It is this mindset that allows the Spirit to teach us because we have not exalted ourselves.

Throughout today I'll like us to pray a simple but powerful prayer like the King did: "Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths."

Have a Graced day.

If you've been blessed or have a question, please let us know. It helps to know that folks are being blessed by this from time to time.
