Spiritual Access Points (II)

Text: Genesis 28:12

And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it.

What is a Spiritual Access Point?

Spiritual access points are locations and persons that serve as portals or doorways through which access to the Divine is made easy. 

Notice that these access points could be in form of locations or persons. Hence, we'll examine these two forms as we progress. 

Furthermore, spiritual access points are established in two manners. 

First, God by His acts of His sovereignty can choose a place or a man to become a spiritual access point upon the face of the Earth. 

This is done by Divine election and does not need the input of man. This is God deciding to put His name (His signature) upon a place or a person. 

We see this in Deuteronomy 12:5 when God chose a place to serve as a spiritual access point.

But unto the place which the LORD your God shall choose out of all your tribes to put his name there, even unto his habitation shall ye seek, and thither thou shalt come:

Secondly, man by obedience, dedication, consecration, sacrifice, and prayer can cause a location or himself to become a spiritual access point. 

Prophets of old served as portals through which revelation from God could be passed down to others. 

Hence, we see this phrase repeated in the old testament: "The Word of the Lord came unto me" These men served as spiritual beacons upon the face of the Earth that could easily receive the Divine Word. 

Wouldn't you want to be like these men of old?
