Text: Genesis 28:12

And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it.


Philippians 2:5-8 records a synopsis of Jesus' life on Earth. I'll share just verse 8:

And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.


My emphasis is on the obedience of Jesus. He was so obedient to the Father's Will even to the point of dying. 


Obedience is a necessity for anyone who wants to be a spiritual access point. 


Irrespective of other spiritual activities you engage in, obedience to the Will of the Father takes the preeminence over all. 


Our acts of sacrifice can never replace obedience. 


The Prophet-Priest Samuel who was a spiritual access point in the Old Testament knew this and told King Saul these immortal words: "Obedience is better than sacrifice". 


Praying and fasting becomes works of the flesh when not done in obedience to God's will. 


It is possible to pray and fast out of God's will. This mostly happens when we do these activities for personal and selfish reasons and not in submission to what God wants. 


All Jesus did was a function of His obedience to the Will of the Father. 


When we obey God's Will, we open ourselves to be vessels of the Divine nature here on Earth. 


It is only through obedience to the Father's Will can one gain ascendancy into the throne room of the Father. 


I pray for you and myself that the grace to always be obedient to God's will rest on you in Jesus name.

Theme: My God: My Shepherd Anchor Text: Psalms 23:1 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. The 23rd Psalm is one of the most well known passages of the Bible. Topic: Love Not The World Text: 1 John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him . John the Apostle had a personal relationship with Jesus during His time here on Earth. The relationship was so deep that he was referred to as "the beloved" of Jesus. Therefore, he understood what it means to love Jesus and be loved by Jesus. In his epistle, he decides to speak a great deal about love. Love is one of the major themes of this apostle. So much so it earned him the nickname 'The Apostle of love" John submission is that anyone who loves the world does not have the love of the Father. Which is why he encouraged the believers no to love the world, nor the things in it. Sadly, many believers have not only fallen in love with the world, but have laid in bed with the world. Theme: Isaiah 43:18-21 interpreted in relation to  Salvation. (Pt 11) Sub Theme: All will Honour God Anchor Text: Isaiah 43:20 The beast of the field shall honour me, the dragons and the owls: because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen. Based on our anchor text, we discover that the reason the beast of the field, dragons and the owls would honour God was because He gave waters in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. Like we have established already that the Holy Spirit is the One who causes waters in the wilderness (salvation) and rivers to flow in the desert (Holy Spirit baptism). These creatures mentioned weren't physical rather they were spiritual entities. They were the demonic forces that try to oppose God's rule on Earth.
