Text: Genesis 28:12

And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it.


Jesus led a life of prayer. At serveral instances in the gospels, we see Him going off to pray. 


Jesus who was a man understood that prayer is the only way for a man to be one with the Divine realm. 


Luke 18:1 records Jesus' emphasis on prayer:

And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;


The opposite of prayer is fainting. 


To faint is to lack strength which could lead to loss of consciousness. 


When a man faints, he is oblivious to spiritual activities. Hence, accessing spiritual realities become impossible. 


The ultimate goal of the devil is to bring a man to the place of fainting.


When a man faints, he lacks the strength to do anything.


Likewise, fainting is what leads to prayerlessness because the strength is not available. 


Only prayer keeps one spiritually conscious and sensitive. 


Isaiah 40:31 buttresses the relationship between praying and fainting. 

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.


Waiting upon the Lord there means prayer. When a man waits, strength is renewed. And the tendency to faint is eliminated. 


Prayer supplies you with the strength to ascend into higher spiritual dimensions. 


Many lack the ability to gain spiritual ascendancy and are constantly fainting because prayer is lacking.


If you want to be a spiritual access point upon the earth, prayer is a must. 


I pray this morning for you and myself that the zeal and spirit of prayer rests upon you in Jesus name.

Theme: My God: My Shepherd Anchor Text: Psalms 23:1 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. The 23rd Psalm is one of the most well known passages of the Bible. The description is so vivid and real that it is certain that the one who wrote this understood and must have an in-depth experience concerning that which he wrote. Topic: Love Not The World Text: 1 John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him . John the Apostle had a personal relationship with Jesus during His time here on Earth. The relationship was so deep that he was referred to as "the beloved" of Jesus. Therefore, he understood what it means to love Jesus and be loved by Jesus. In his epistle, he decides to speak a great deal about love. Love is one of the major themes of this apostle. So much so it earned him the nickname 'The Apostle of love" John submission is that anyone who loves the world does not have the love of the Father. Which is why he encouraged the believers no to love the world, nor the things in it. Sadly, many believers have not only fallen in love with the world, but have laid in bed with the world. Theme: Isaiah 43:18-21 interpreted in relation to  Salvation. (Pt 11) Sub Theme: All will Honour God Anchor Text: Isaiah 43:20 The beast of the field shall honour me, the dragons and the owls: because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen. Based on our anchor text, we discover that the reason the beast of the field, dragons and the owls would honour God was because He gave waters in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. Like we have established already that the Holy Spirit is the One who causes waters in the wilderness (salvation) and rivers to flow in the desert (Holy Spirit baptism). These creatures mentioned weren't physical rather they were spiritual entities. They were the demonic forces that try to oppose God's rule on Earth.
