Text: Genesis 28:12

And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it.


1 Samuel 3:3 shows us something interesting about the lifestyle of the young lad Samuel:

The lamp of God had not yet gone out, and Samuel was sleeping in the Tabernacle near the Ark of God. (New Living Translation)


The Tabernacle in those days served as the house of God and the worship place for all of Israel. Hence, it functioned as a spiritual access point. 


The Ark of God or the Ark of Covenant was a symbol of the physical manifest Presence of God. In essence, where the Ark was, God was.


Therefore, when the Ark of God is in the Tarbenacle, that location was a highly spiritual access point. 


In the verse above we see Samuel in the Tabernacle lying near the Ark of God. 


To clear things up, Samuel wasn't directly close to the Ark per say as the Ark was kept in the holiest place which he wasn't allowed to enter into. 


Rather, where Samuel lay was an adjacent room that served as the Priests' quarters. This quarters allowed the Priests to get up early and carry out the morning priestly duties. 


As for Samuel, his proximity to the Ark of Covenant was the closest. This young lad although not allowed to enter the holiest place did all he could to be as close as possible. 


As a result, God saw his availability and gave him a message unto Eli.


This is reminiscent of Joshua who couldn't go up all the way to the top of the mountain of God like Moses did, but he stayed as close as he could.


In the end, God chose him (Joshua) to be the next leader of Israel.


The principle of desiring to be close to the presence of God is fundamental if one seeks to be a spiritual access point.


You can't be far from God and expect your life to serve as a portal to God. 


Men whose lives have made others gain easy access to the Divine realm have a passionate, unending desire to be constantly in God's Presence. 


Nothing else matters for these men except God's Presence. For where God's presence is nothing is impossible. 


I pray that a deep and unquenchable desire for the presence of God erupt within your spirit man in Jesus name.

Topic: Love Not The World Text: 1 John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him . John the Apostle had a personal relationship with Jesus during His time here on Earth. The relationship was so deep that he was referred to as "the beloved" of Jesus. Therefore, he understood what it means to love Jesus and be loved by Jesus. In his epistle, he decides to speak a great deal about love. Love is one of the major themes of this apostle. So much so it earned him the nickname 'The Apostle of love" John submission is that anyone who loves the world does not have the love of the Father. Which is why he encouraged the believers no to love the world, nor the things in it. Sadly, many believers have not only fallen in love with the world, but have laid in bed with the world. Theme: Isaiah 43:18-21 interpreted in relation to  Salvation. (Pt 11) Sub Theme: All will Honour God Anchor Text: Isaiah 43:20 The beast of the field shall honour me, the dragons and the owls: because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen. Based on our anchor text, we discover that the reason the beast of the field, dragons and the owls would honour God was because He gave waters in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. Like we have established already that the Holy Spirit is the One who causes waters in the wilderness (salvation) and rivers to flow in the desert (Holy Spirit baptism). These creatures mentioned weren't physical rather they were spiritual entities. They were the demonic forces that try to oppose God's rule on Earth.
