Honour Spiritual Leaders

Text: 1 Thessalonians 5:12-13 (New Living Translation)
[12]Dear brothers and sisters, honor those who are your leaders in the Lord’s work. They work hard among you and give you spiritual guidance.
[13]Show them great respect and wholehearted love because of their work. And live peacefully with each other.

We live in a generation that lacks honour. A generation where folks scoff at, mock and ridicule leaders whom God has called into His service.

Men who have laboured and are labouring in the Lord should be respected. These people should be appreciated for their labours.

The body of Christ recently is one that fails to acknowledge the labours of her workers. Even the kingdom of hell does not neglect to recognize those who wrought great iniquity.

A man who lacks honour will never enjoy certain dimensions of divine prosperity and longevity (Ephesians 6:1-3).

Men and women who have gone ahead of us in the Lord carry some level of God through their interaction with God that can only be unlocked and received through honour.

Elisha got the double portion of the Spirit from Elijah because he honoured the prophet. He didn't mind attending to him as a servant. (2 Kings 3:11).

Give honour to whom honour is due and spiritual leaders who labour truly in the Lord deserve double honour as Apostle Paul wrote in 1 Timothy 5:17.

The things and persons dedicated unto God for His use are still sacred even in the dispensation of Grace.

Have a graced day...
