Spirit Breakfast 1/4/2021 Bible Passage: Romans 2:14-16 (The Passion Translation) God’s Judgment 14 For example, whenever people who don’t possess the law as their birthright commit sin, it still confirms that a “law” is present in their conscience. For when they instinctively do what the law requires, that becomes a “law” to govern them, even though they don’t have Mosaic law.  15 It demonstrates that the requirements of the law are woven into their hearts. They know what is right and wrong, for their conscience validates this “law” in their heart. Their thoughts correct them in one instance and commend them in another.  16 So this judgment will be revealed on the day when God, through Jesus the Messiah, judges the hidden secrets of people’s hearts. And their response to the gospel I preach will be the standard of judgment used in that day. Prayer: This is your season of enthronement in Jesus name. No power will stop it in Jesus name.  Happy New Month Stay Graced... #spi...

Spirit Breakfast 31/3/2021 Bible Passage: Romans 2:6-13 (The Passion Translation) 6 For: He will give to each one in return for what he has done. 7 For those living in constant goodness and doing what pleases him, seeking an unfading glory and honor and imperishable virtue, will experience eternal life.  8 But those governed by selfishness and self-promotion, whose hearts are unresponsive to God’s truth and would rather embrace unrighteousness, will experience the fullness of wrath. 9 Anyone who does evil can expect tribulation and distress—to the Jew first and also to the non-Jew.  10 But when we do what pleases God, we can expect unfading glory, true honor, and a continual peace—to the Jew first and also to the non-Jew, 11 for God sees us all without partiality. 12 When people who have never been exposed to the laws of Moses commit sin, they will still perish for what they do. And those who are under the law of Moses and fail to obey it are condemned by the law.  ...

Spirit Breakfast 30/3/2021 Bible Passage: Romans 2:1-5 (The Passion Translation) God Judges Sin 1. No matter who you are, before you judge the wickedness of others, you had better remember this: you are also without excuse, for you too are guilty of the same kind of things! When you judge others, and then do the same things they do, you condemn yourself.  2 We know that God’s judgment falls upon those who practice these things. God is always right, because he has all the facts.  3. And no matter who you think you are, when you judge others who do these things and then do the same things yourself, what makes you think that you will escape God’s judgment? 4. Do the riches of his extraordinary kindness make you take him for granted and despise him? Haven’t you experienced how kind and understanding he has been to you? Don’t mistake his tolerance for acceptance. Do you realize that all the wealth of his extravagant kindness is meant to melt your heart and lead you into repentance?...

Spirit Breakfast 29/3/2021 Bible Passage: Romans 1:26-32 (The Passion Translation) 26–27 For this reason God gave them over to their own disgraceful and vile passions. Enflamed with lust for one another, men and women ignored the natural order and exchanged normal sexual relations for homosexuality. Women engaged in lesbian conduct, and men committed shameful acts with men, receiving in themselves the due penalty for their deviation. 28 And because they thought it was worthless to embrace the true knowledge of God, God gave them over to a worthless mind-set, to break all rules of proper conduct.  29 Their sinful lives became full of every kind of evil, wicked schemes, greed, and cruelty. Their hearts overflowed with jealous cravings, and with conflict and strife, which drove them into hateful arguments and murder. They are deceitful liars full of hostility. They are gossips  30 who love to spread malicious slander. With inflated egos they hurl hateful insults at God, yet they ...

Spirit Breakfast 26/3/2021 Bible Passage: Romans 1:21-25 (The Passion Translation)   21 Throughout human history the fingerprints of God were upon them, yet they refused to honor him as God or even be thankful for his kindness. Instead, they entertained corrupt and foolish thoughts about what God was like. This left them with nothing but misguided hearts, steeped in moral darkness.  22 Although claiming to be super-intelligent, they were in fact shallow fools.  23 For only a fool would trade the unfading splendor of the immortal God to worship the fading image of other humans, idols made to look like people, animals, birds, and even creeping reptiles! 24 This is why God lifted off his restraining hand and let them have full expression of their sinful and shameful desires. They were given over to moral depravity, dishonoring their bodies by sexual perversion among themselves—  25 all because they traded the truth of God for a lie. They worshiped and served the things ...

Spirit Breakfast 24/3/2021 Bible Passage: Romans 1:16-20 (The Passion Translation) 16 I refuse to be ashamed of sharing the wonderful message of God’s liberating power unleashed in us through Christ! For I am thrilled to preach that everyone who believes is saved—the Jew first, and then people everywhere!  17 This gospel unveils a continual revelation of God’s righteousness—a perfect righteousness given to us when we believe. And it moves us from receiving life through faith, to the power of living by faith. This is what the Scripture means when it says: “We are right with God through life-giving faith!” 18 For God in heaven unveils his holy anger breaking forth against every form of sin, both toward ungodliness that lives in hearts and evil actions. For the wickedness of humanity deliberately smothers the truth and keeps people from acknowledging the truth about God.  19 In reality, the truth of God is known instinctively, for God has embedded this knowledge inside every huma...

Spirit Breakfast 23/3/2021 Bible Passage: Romans 1:2-6 (The Passion Translation) 2. My commission is to preach the good news. Yet it is not entirely new, but the fulfillment of the hope promised to us through the many prophecies found in the sacred Scriptures.  3 For the gospel is all about God’s Son. As a man he descended from David’s royal lineage,  4 but as the mighty Son of God he was raised from the dead and miraculously set apart with a display of triumphant power supplied by the Spirit of Holiness. And now Jesus is our Lord and our Messiah.  5 Through him a joy-producing grace cascaded into us, empowering us with the gift of apostleship, so that we can win people from every nation into a faithful commitment to Jesus, to bring honor to his name.  6 And you are among the chosen ones who received the call to belong to Jesus, the Anointed One. Success by Design and Purpose

Image
Spirit Breakfast 19/3/2021 Proverbs 19:21 (The Passion Translation ) A person may have many ideas concerning God’s plan for his life, but only the designs of his purpose will succeed in the end. The uniqueness of each human on the face of the Earth is simply a work of art by God. It shows the time and effort He put in to fashion and design us the way we are.  It is because of this unqiue design we have different purposes (functions) to fulfil on the earth. And you cannot accomplish success  by trying to be like others.  God designed you uniquely, embrace it, and make something beautiful out of it. Celebrate and showcase your strengths while improving your weaknesses.  True success can be attained but only when you stick to the design of your purpose.  I pray that your life will be filled with so much joy and laughter. Secured Future

Image
Spirit Breakfast 17/3/2021 Anchor Text: Psalms 16:9 (The Passion Translation) Within your heart you can make plans for your future,  but the Lord chooses the steps you take to get there. Every man wishes he knows the details of what happens tomorrow, but as the popular saying goes; "No one knows tomorrow". While man may not know what tomorrow will bring, God does. While we may fret and make all the plans for our tomorrow and future, God works behind the scenes to ensure our future security.  Isn't it amazing that despite the mistakes of genuine believers, they still end up being achievers? This is because their trust God orders their steps and causes all things to work out for their good. For every child of God, here's a word of encouragement for you; your Father and God has made too much of an investment for your future security through Jesus. Therefore your future is secured.  You don't have to worry no more. Trust in God's faithfulness to bring you into p...

Pour your worries on God

Spirit Breakfast 16/3/2021 Anchor Text: 1 Peter 5:7 (The Passion Translation) Pour out all your worries and stress upon him and leave them there, for he always tenderly cares for you.  In light of the global and national happenings, it isn't strange for many to fall into worry. Many are stressed out as a result of the many challenges we face.  However, as believers we have someone upon whom we can pour out our worries and stress on. Our heavenly Father is always ready to bear our burdens because of His immense care for us.  Are you worried? Are you stressed? Go before your Father and tell Him as it is. Pour it put completely until there's nothing left.  Your Father and God will surely give you comfort. Spirit Breakfast 11/3/2021 Text: Ephesians 5:18 (New Living Translation) Don’t be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit. Continued from last time... How to practise making Melody in the heart... The first thing one needs to understand is that Melody is birthed by the Spirit and not by one's conscious will. It is given rather than forced.  That's one difference between Melody and songs which include spiritual songs.  You can decide to sing any song including one you had received a while ago from the Spirit at any time.  However, when it comes to making Melody, it is usually given at the spur of the moment. It is not rehearsed, it is not thought of, it just flows.  It flows out of the abundance of one's heart connection to the Spirit. It is manifested as a result of one's desire to be closer to the Spirit of God.  Hence, Melody only becomes a reality in the lives of believers who have made themselves free with t...

Continued from last time... How does making Melody in the heart help one to maintain stillness? Although Melody is manifested through sounds and hums, the initial origin is in the heart.  The heart is the centre of a man's being. It is the source from which all that a man is originates from.  No wonder Proverbs 23:7 says "For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he..." Proverbs 4:23 also says: "Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life."  In other words, the products of your life come from your heart, thereofe the heart must be diligently guarded and kept.  The heart is responsible for dictating so many things including the stillness of one's soul. When we talked about meditation, we said meditation helps you to hide God's word in your heart. The target o...

Spirit Breakfast 5/3/2021 Text: Ephesians 5:18 (New Living Translation) Don’t be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit. Continued from yesterday ... What is the meaning of making melody in the heart? This refers to the internal state of a person's heart. Such a person is in sync and in tune with the frequency of the Spirit.  To make melody in the heart is to release a spirital sound received from heaven. This is different from singing and even different from spiritual songs which is mentioned earlier in the verse (Ephesians 5:19). Notice that it says "...making melody in your heart to the Lord." Hence, it shows that the recipient of our melody is the Lord. Therefore, making melody is a deeper form of spiritual worship. It is in most cases inarticulate because it is a product of the Holy Spirit helping our weaknesses. Hence, just like we groan in prayer, melody come in form of hums and sounds.  It is also personal becaus...

Ask questions within yourself about the verse God's Word is unquestionable in the sense that it is not up for debate.  However, sincere and genuine inquisition of the Word is necessary for deeper insights and revelations into the Word.  When you ask questions about the verse for a day, the Holy Spirit begins to supply divine answers.  This form of interaction with the Spirit strengthens your intimacy with Him because such insights are only product of genuine fellowship.  A man grows beyond just knowledge (belief) of the Word Himself and into being persuaded by the Word through such insights supplied by the Holy Spirit which is a result of genuine inquisition of the Word.  Men who have gain...

This is what Joshua 1:8 means when it says "This book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth".  When people hear meditation, they think it's only a mind thing. However, true meditation cannot be done without voicing words.  The Hebrew word that is translated as meditate is Hagar which means to mutter.  When you mutter the Word (meditate) under your breath, you allow the breath of the Almighty flow within you. Repeating a Bible verse received allows you to connect with the Holy Spirit who inspired the verse.  As you continue to speak those words from the Word, you begin to encounter the Word Himself.  This is the ...

This is receiving a guiding verse for the day. Immediately you wake up, after thanking God and praying (morning prayer even though brief is a must), ask the Holy Spirit for a verse for the day.  You could be led to a verse as you open the Bible or a portion of the scripture might be dropped in your heart.  Sometimes, devotionals might have certain verses that the Holy Spirit will impress the most in your spirit.  Or if you're the type that listens to sermons when you wake, a verse from the sermon can be highlighted by the Holy Spirit as your verse for the day.  Whichever way, ensure you don't leave home with...

Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do." (New Living Translation) I have come to realize that the productivity of the Word of God in a man's life rests on meditation rather than just study. The extent to which meditation of the Word is practised also determines the level of obedience to the Word.  Hence, David said in Psalms 119:11 "I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you." (NLT) The way to hide God's Word in our hearts is by meditation.  Studying the Word gives you head knowledge, meditating the Word gives you deep (heart) understanding.  For a busy ...

Spirit Breakfast 16/2/2021 Text: Ephesians 5:18 (New Living Translation) Don’t be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit. Continued from yesterday... Psalms 46:10 says "Be still, and know that I am God".  In other portions of the scripture, men are told to stand still to see the salvation of the Lord and also to hear the word of the Lord.  In the verse of the Psalm above, "know" means a deep understanding birthed by intimate disclosure.  It is a knowledge that is akin to secrets that are only revealed to close and dear ones.  To be still is to quiet one's spirit and eliminate opposing influence that is contrary to God.  It is a state of resting solely in the words of the Lord.  Intimacy with the Holy Spirit is strengthened when one exhibits stillness.  When a man is still, fear is eliminated because fear is a negative force contrary to God's operating system.  There are two major ways to maintain...

Spirit Breakfast 15/2/2021 Text: Ephesians 5:18 (New Living Translation) Don’t be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit. The major method of staying continuously filled with the Holy Spirit is to maintain a lifestyle of prayer. Yes, we can't stop talking about prayer.  The custom of a pious Jew was to pray three times a day.  This prayer was meant to sustain the connection and a show of allegiance to Yahweh.  Hence, Daniel refused the king's decree and still prayed three times a day. This was a prove of his allegiance to Yahweh and no other god or king.  In the New Testament however, Paul the Apostle tells us that a believer in Christ is to pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17). The reason is because prayer helps to sustain and maintain the level of the Holy Spirit within us.  Hence, Paul says prayer must be without ceasing to ensure that at no point in time do we experience a reduction in Spirit level....

Spirit Breakfast 12/2/2021 Text: Ephesians 5:18 (New Living Translation) Don’t be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit. Every child of God has a measure of the Holy Spirit at New Birth.  The Holy Spirit baptism fills us with God, making us partakers of the heavenly Gift.  At the baptism of the Spirit, the believer is "Full of the Holy Ghost" as the Bible calls it. This was one of the criteria required for selecting a deacon.  The demand on the believer is to maintain this fullness of the Holy Spirit.  All believers have the same salvation, but the difference is the level of fullness of the Spirit we possess.  Hence, Paul encourages us in our anchor text above to be filled with the Holy Spirit.  Our focus over the next couple of days will be on how we can continuously stay filled with the Holy Spirit.  I pray that God will baptise you anew with His Spirit in Jesus name.  Have a graced day... #sp...

Spirit Breakfast 11/2/2021 Text: Ephesians 5:18 (New Living Translation) Don’t be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit. The first thing we must understand in maintaining intimacy with the Holy Spirit is the omnipresence of God.  God is every where at every time. He is not restricted to a particular location.  Although certain locations are spiritual access points as we discussed some time ago, more importantly is that man functions as a spiritual access point.  Therefore, you can be in fellowship and intimacy with the Holy Spirit all through the day and wherever you are.  The disconnect most people feel from God during their daily activities is because they've been conditioned to think they can only access God from a particular location.  God is not resident in temples made by human hands, He is living within human temples.  Understand this, as a believer you carry the Presence of God and you can access ...

Image
Spirit Breakfast 10/2/2021 Text: Ephesians 5:18 (New Living Translation) Don’t be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit. One of the challenges of the 21st century believer is maintaining intimacy with the Holy Spirit.  These days, because of the demands of life, many believers do not have the time to really engage in spiritual activities as they would love to.  Many know the importance of praying and studying the Word, but how does one find time when one has to wake up as early as 4am and get back home by 11pm? With these challenges not many will have the opportunity to pray for long hours like our fathers of faith did.  Therefore, it is important we discuss how to maintain intimacy wih the Spirit despite the busy nature of our current age. And the Bible gives us the solution. Hence, for the next few days, we will look at the biblical solution to these modern day believers' problems.  P.S: This series doesn't disco...

Does He know you?

Image
Spirit Breakfast 9/2/2021 Matthew 25:12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.  The dynamics of a relationship is that it requires the knowledgeable participation of two individuals.  A relationship is established  by mutual knowledge of both individuals. In our relationship with God, we are expected to seek beyond knowing God. Our desire should be that we might be known by Him.  Being known by God is a function of our intimacy with Him and our ever enduring presence in His Presence. It goes beyond just being a church goer. Rather it is man establishing Himself upon the heart of the Father by acts of unashamed faithfulness to all that is of God.  Does He know you? Will God be able to testify of you as He did with Job or as He did of His Some Jesus? If the Father doesn't know you, then you have no authority over even demons.  The demon-possesed man said to the sons of Sceva "Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?" And if you...

These days there are so many books, sermons, speeches, quotes, etc. concerning purpose.  This is the same when the topic of the will of the Father for individuals is considered.  However, knowing and understanding your purpose and God's will for you is not a mystery as such.  It is achieved through an activity so common and well known albeit not many engage in it appropriately.  The will of the Father and life's purpose are discovered in the place of prayer.  Remember part of the model prayer says: "Thy will be done". And Jesus exemplified this when He prayed in the garden of Gethsemane for the will of the Father to prevail.  Jesus constantly engaged in prayer, hence He was never in confusion concerning...

When most folks think of negative drives, they think of things that are ungodly, immoral or evil. Yet, it runs deeper than this.  Understand this; a negative drive is not necessarily ungodly, immoral or evil in itself. Rather, a negative drive is always in opposition to the will of the Father.  For example, Jesus could have turned stones to bread if He wished. However, because it was at the behest of the devil, it became evil.  Being driven to become the wealthiest man in the world is not evil; in fact it is a good thing. However, if it doesn't fall in line with the will of the Father, our actions in attaining that goal becomes evil.  Consider Jesus once again, the drive which was a function of the joy ahead that...

Jesus was driven, He didn't live life passively. He was purposeful in all of his actions whilst on Earth.  Anyone who lives passively will never accomplish anything worthwhile.  Jesus, our perfect example had a drive. He had an internal motivation which our anchor text reveals.  Although He was obedient to the Father's Will, the benefits and rewards attached to that obedience was His drive. His drive was to be seated at the right hand of the Father. This position was that of authority and sovereign rule.  This made Him despise all the humiliation and pains He went through. That's why He never gave up. The reason many give up easily is because they aren't driven. And let me say this emphatically, although a drive ...

Today is the 30th day of January 2021, hence a month is already gone in the year.  And already many have lost their motivation for the year. Some didn't even enter the year 2021 with any passion whatsoever because of how overwhelming last year was.  The truth is that we will always be accosted with challenges in life. Every man and I repeat every man is fighting a personal battle, the difference is that it varies in degrees and levels.  Even Jesus faced His own share of challenges while He was here on Earth.  Nevertheless, we are expected to overcome these challenges and accomplish our purposes. Hence, we need to be internally driven by that which ensures we keep going until the finish line.  A man who isn'...

Spirit Breakfast 27/1/2021 Text: Genesis 28:12 And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it. The second and third lines of the model prayer which Jesus gave to His disciples have the following words: Thy Kingdom Come Thy Will be done on Earth, as it is in Heaven These lines capture the entirety of God's plan for the Earth.  Earth was meant to act as an extension of the Kingdom of God which was situated in Heaven.  For Earth to be colonised in the very ways of Heaven, God sent His regent in form of man to have Dominion over the Earth.  After the Fall, man lost the spiritual integrity to access the Kingdom of Heaven and all its attending benefits.  Enter Jesus, the Son of God, who was the fullness of God bodily. He still retained the spiritual integrity required to serve as a true Regent upon the Earth in every sense.  Because His spiritual integrity was ma...

Spirit Breakfast 26/1/2021 Text: Genesis 28:12 And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it. Philippians 2:5-8 records a synopsis of Jesus' life on Earth. I'll share just verse 8: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. My emphasis is on the obedience of Jesus. He was so obedient to the Father's Will even to the point of dying.  Obedience is a necessity for anyone who wants to be a spiritual access point.  Irrespective of other spiritual activities you engage in, obedience to the Will of the Father takes the preeminence over all.  Our acts of sacrifice can never replace obedience.  The Prophet-Priest Samuel who was a spiritual access point in the Old Testament knew this and told King Saul these immortal words: "Obedience is better than sacrifice".  Praying and fasting becomes wo...

We see in Matthew 4:2 that Jesus fasted for forty days and nights before He began His ministry.  Jesus understood the necessity of fasting. He being a man understood that the flesh must be brought under subjection. And He understood that only fasting can accomplish that.  When we fast, the Spirit is made alive, and the flesh is subjected to death.  Paul the Apostle understood this and said in 1 Corinthians 9:27 "But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection:" The way he did this was through fasting. You can never be a spiritual access point without the force of fasting. Spirit Breakfast 22/1/2021 Text: Genesis 28:12 And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it. Jesus led a life of prayer. At serveral instances in the gospels, we see Him going off to pray.  Jesus who was a man understood that prayer is the only way for a man to be one with the Divine realm.  Luke 18:1 records Jesus' emphasis on prayer: And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; The opposite of prayer is fainting.  To faint is to lack strength which could lead to loss of consciousness.  When a man faints, he is oblivious to spiritual activities. Hence, accessing spiritual realities become impossible.  The ultimate goal of the devil is to bring a man to the place of fainting. When a man faints, he lacks the strength to do anything. Likewise, fainting is what leads to prayerlessness because the strength is ...

Spirit Breakfast 21/1/2021 Text: Genesis 28:12 And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it. Jesus' life on the earth was dependent on the ministry of the Holy Spirit.  The Holy Spirit was responsible for His incarnation by overshadowing Mary. (Luke 1:35) The Holy Spirit descended upon Jesus at baptism. (Luke 3:22) He also led Jesus into the wilderness (Luke 4:1), after which he returned in the power of the Spirit to begin His ministry. (Luke 4:14) The bottom line is no man can function as a spiritual access point without the help of the Holy Spirit.  The work of the Holy Spirit is to help us on our spiritual journey.  When we try to do it without His help, we end up failing. The Holy Spirit thrives in the life of a person who has lost self-dependency, and gained Spirit-dependency.  Today, ask the Holy Spirit to help you. Tell Him how helpless and hopeless wit...

Spirit Breakfast 20/1/2021 Text: Genesis 28:12 And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it. At this point, we'll turn our focus to a man in the New Testament that was an embodiment of being a spiritual access point.  No one before or after Him shows us what it means to serve as a portal to the supernatural realm.  He even said this in John 14:6 "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." This man is Jesus the Son of God.  All other men who have become spiritual access points find their expression in Jesus. That is why He is the Way and not just a way.  A man must be in Christ Jesus to properly navigate the spiritual realm.  While the Old Testament saints like Samuel could access certain dimensions of God, the fullness of God is only made available through Jesus. Hence, we in this dispensation have greater advantage ...

Spirit Breakfast 18/1/2021 Text: Genesis 28:12 And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it. 1 Samuel 3:3 shows us something interesting about the lifestyle of the young lad Samuel: The lamp of God had not yet gone out, and Samuel was sleeping in the Tabernacle near the Ark of God. (New Living Translation) The Tabernacle in those days served as the house of God and the worship place for all of Israel. Hence, it functioned as a spiritual access point.  The Ark of God or the Ark of Covenant was a symbol of the physical manifest Presence of God. In essence, where the Ark was, God was. Therefore, when the Ark of God is in the Tarbenacle, that location was a highly spiritual access point.  In the verse above we see Samuel in the Tabernacle lying near the Ark of God.  To clear things up, Samuel wasn't directly close to the Ark per say as the Ark was kept in the holiest p...

Spirit Breakfast 16/1/2021 Text: Genesis 28:12 And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it. When Samuel came of age and was serving in the Tabernacle as an assistant to the High Priest Eli, we discover an interesting character of this young man.  The scripture tells us that Eli's sons; Hophni and Phinehas were committing all sorts of atrocities in the Tabernacle.  However, Samuel didn't follow their path which could have easily served as an example to him being a young boy.  Verses 12 and 18 of 1 Samuel shows the contrast between the lifestyle of Eli's sons and Samuel's.  [12]Now the sons of Eli were scoundrels who had no respect for the lord [18]But Samuel, though he was only a boy, served the lord. He wore a linen garment like that of a priest. (New Living Translation) Samuel unlike the sons of Eli had deep fear and reverence of God. Although he had access ...

Spirit Breakfast 15/1/2021 Text: Genesis 28:12 And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it. As I said yesterday, from today, we'll chart Samuel's spiritual trajectory that made him what he became.  The birth of Samuel was a product of a sacrificial vow. In 1 Samuel 1:11 we see the mother of Samuel making this vow: And she vowed a vow, and said, O LORD of hosts, if thou wilt indeed look on the affliction of thine handmaid, and remember me, and not forget thine handmaid, but wilt give unto thine handmaid a man child, then I will give him unto the LORD all the days of his life, and there shall no razor come upon his head. The dimension that brought about Samuel's birth was not just prayer but this vow. Because it is obvious a woman in Hannah's condition would have prayed severally prior to that time.  After this vow and confirmation of answers via the High Priest E...

Spirit Breakfast 14/1/2021 Text: Genesis 28:12 And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it. The narrative in I Samuel 19:18-24 which I shared yesterday shows us how the territory wherein Samuel was located became a spiritual access point.  Now, this wasn't just a case of a location becoming an access point, although Ramah had abundant spiritual investments.  However, it was a proof that the man named Samuel himself was a spiritual access point.  This can be proved based on the spiritual experiences and encounters that occurred to the men who came close to Samuel.  One of the spiritual endowments of Samuel was prophecy. He operated so accurately in that dimension that 1 Samuel 3:19 recorded this concerning Samuel: And Samuel grew, and the LORD was with him, and did let none of his words fall to the ground. What that meant is that regarding prophetic accuracy, ...
