God's incomparable thoughts

Text: Isaiah 55:8-9 (New Living Translation)
[8]“My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the lord. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.
[9]For just as the heavens are higher than the earth,  so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.


One of the greatest folly of man is the thought of being able to understand and comprehend the thoughts, ways, and acts of God.

Many feel that God can be understood by logical, deductive, and empirical reasoning.

The fault and shortcoming in this is that the human brain as well developed as it lacks the adequate empirical tool for such quantitative and qualitative analysis. No human known tool has the capacity to make sure experiments feasible.

It's just like asking an ant to fully analyse, comprehend, and define the thoughts, ways, and actions of a man. Well, it's almost like because God is way higher than we can ever imagine.

The mysterious ways of the Lord is simply that because our brains and minds are not designed to fully understand a being who is not restricted by time. We are time-based beings. While our God is not.

Many of the figures science has presented of certain discoveries such as the size of the universe, the distance between each solar system, are estimates. They are never completely accurate. Yet, the being who made all knows all to the last decimal.

God's thoughts can never be fully understood because in an experiment you require a controlled experiment. This control is dependent on the fact that you've been able to control all the factors that you seek to find out in the other test experiment.

Now we might have several tests but do we have a control experiment for God to ascertain that our test experiment is valid?

The only way man can relate to God when it comes to understanding His thoughts, ways, and acts is faith and trust.

We have faith and trust in God because He is our Father and He knows better.

We are in His experiment rather than He in ours. And the only way that all factors will work in our favour is when we remain in the control experiment which He has designed. The control of His will over our lives.

God is infinite and man is finite and that's why He's Sovereign and Supreme.

Topic: Love Not The World Text: 1 John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him . John the Apostle had a personal relationship with Jesus during His time here on Earth. The relationship was so deep that he was referred to as "the beloved" of Jesus. Therefore, he understood what it means to love Jesus and be loved by Jesus. In his epistle, he decides to speak a great deal about love. Love is one of the major themes of this apostle. So much so it earned him the nickname 'The Apostle of love" John submission is that anyone who loves the world does not have the love of the Father. Which is why he encouraged the believers no to love the world, nor the things in it. Sadly, many believers have not only fallen in love with the world, but have laid in bed with the world. Theme: Isaiah 43:18-21 interpreted in relation to  Salvation. (Pt 11) Sub Theme: All will Honour God Anchor Text: Isaiah 43:20 The beast of the field shall honour me, the dragons and the owls: because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen. Based on our anchor text, we discover that the reason the beast of the field, dragons and the owls would honour God was because He gave waters in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. Like we have established already that the Holy Spirit is the One who causes waters in the wilderness (salvation) and rivers to flow in the desert (Holy Spirit baptism). These creatures mentioned weren't physical rather they were spiritual entities. They were the demonic forces that try to oppose God's rule on Earth.
