[6]Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:
[7]Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler.

III. They network

Network marketers might see this and just smile. Well, everyone needs to network but not necessarily in the sense of I bring one, he brings one kind of thing. 

Networking is defined as the act of making contact and exchanging information with other people, groups and institutions to develop mutually beneficial relationships.

Ants do this so well. As they go out foraging for food, they do so in a network line. They maintain this line to ensure the effectiveness of the task at hand. 

If this line is broken, the ants will scamper for a bit in different directions. But give it a few minutes and the line will be back. It might not be the exact route, but another line will be created nonetheless. 

What's the lesson here?
While networking might look similar to what we discussed yesterday, networking requires a conscious effort on your part. 

In a company, you're already thrown into the system and you must interact with others. However, networking can take you out of your sphere and industry. 

It connects you to those who you don't have things in common with for the sole purpose of expanding your infleunce and reach. If your network is limited, your influence is also limited.

Porter Gale said, "Your network is your networth". It is also said that "Who you know determines the level of your growth".

So, take a decision and make a conscious effort today to connect with someone within and outside your sphere of influence, your industry, and interest area. 

Above all, like the ants who make sure the line is rebuilt, do your best to maintain your networks no matter how unimportant you think they are today, they can come good in the future. 

Build bridges, don't burn them...

Topic: Love Not The World Text: 1 John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him . John the Apostle had a personal relationship with Jesus during His time here on Earth. The relationship was so deep that he was referred to as "the beloved" of Jesus. Therefore, he understood what it means to love Jesus and be loved by Jesus. In his epistle, he decides to speak a great deal about love. Love is one of the major themes of this apostle. Theme: Isaiah 43:18-21 interpreted in relation to  Salvation. (Pt 11) Sub Theme: All will Honour God Anchor Text: Isaiah 43:20 The beast of the field shall honour me, the dragons and the owls: because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen. Based on our anchor text, we discover that the reason the beast of the field, dragons and the owls would honour God was because He gave waters in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. Like we have established already that the Holy Spirit is the One who causes waters in the wilderness (salvation) and rivers to flow in the desert (Holy Spirit baptism). These creatures mentioned weren't physical rather they were spiritual entities. They were the demonic forces that try to oppose God's rule on Earth.
