Text: Proverbs 6:6-7
[6]Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:
[7]Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler.

One of the astounding attributes of ants is their well organised structure.

While they might have a queen who is the founder of the colony, her duty is to lay eggs that become new ant members of the colony. Her duty is not to lead other ants in their everyday duties.

How then are ants so organised with no particular ant calling the shots? Here are few reasons:

I. Division of labour.
This is a concept many are familiar with. Any system that seeks to be organised must have division of labour at its core.

In an ant colony, each ant performs specific tasks depending on the situation on ground. Not that they have fixed roles (only the Queen's role is fixed).

How does this translate to us as humans?
If you run an organisation, you cannot do everything yourself. Create a system that breaks the job into smaller parts that can be handled by different individuals.

Even if you run a one-man business, for example,  instead of going to buy your goods yourself, connect with someone who sells such goods but makes deliveries.

This way you increase efficiency and conserve energy that would have been wasted unnecessarily.

"We owe the origin and development of human society and, consequently, of culture and civilization, to the fact that work performed under the division of labor is more productive than when performed in isolation." ~ Ludwig von Mises
