Text: Proverbs 30:27 (New Living Translation)
[27]Locusts—they have no king, but they march in formation.
While growing up, an elderly man in my local church always made a saying; "A tree can't make a forest". This saying speaks of the power in numbers.
In the same vein, locusts also embody and practise power in numbers. A swarm of locust from research has shown to have about a billion individual members.
In application for us, we must understand that the vision given to you by God will require the assistance of men.
No man is self-made. We are all dependent on others in one way or the other for the fulfilment of our destinies.
Locust may live solitary lives but when the time comes for them to achieve a goal, they seek out other individuals of their kind.
You must seek to partner with others as you walk through the path to greatness. It is said, "If you want to go fast, walk alone; if you want to go far, walk with others."
The extent of your reach depends a large deal on those you walk and associate with. Your family, friends, partners, associates, colleagues, mentors, and mentees have a large role in contributing to the achievement of your goals.
So, take stock of these groups of people in your life. Are they helping you achieve your purpose? Do you have the right people in your circle to help you achieve your purpose? If you don't, seek out new partnership, associates, and circle.
It is God's Will that a little one become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation.
"There is power in numbers and there is power in unity." ~ Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
