Text: Proverbs 30:27 (New Living Translation)
[27]Locusts—they have no king, but they march in formation.
Continued from yesterday
Locusts have a singleness of purpose and they are focused on it even to the last detail. Every change they undergo socially and physically is aimed at fulfilling that purpose.
Although many changes are required, their purpose and goal is simplistic and easy to remember. Their purpose when they swarm is to EAT.
They are so focused on this that no green thing escapes their path when they begin to eat.
What can we learn from this? We are all created by God for a purpose. This purpose is given to us before we were formed. It is the primary essence of our existence.
Every other thing we do in life is to aid in accomplishing that purpose. The dynamics of purpose might look complex, however, the goal of our purpose is always simplistic.
The locusts have to become social, they have to undergo physical transformation, mate rapidly, and move across long distances. These purpose dynamics is only aimed at one thing - Eat.
The activities of your life and mine should be ruled by our individual purposes. We are to focus on it diligently that we do not skip over any detail along the path to purpose fulfillment.
What is your life purpose? Have you discovered it? Can you write it out in one sentence? Does your daily activities reflect and have an effect on your purpose? Are you focused on achieving and fulfilling your purpose?
You must ask yourself the questions above critically. And make adjustments where necessary.
"Singleness of purpose is one of the chief essentials for success in life, no matter what may be one's aim." ~ John D. Rockefeller
